A much-loved west-end bar and venue has been bought after it was put up for sale by previous owners Three Thistles.

Dram on Woodlands Road has been bought by Peter Di Ciacca, the owner of Riva Restaurants, after it as put up for sale by the Three Thistles pub company alongside six other Scottish pubs.

Late last year, we reported that Three Thistles had instructed Shepherd Chartered Surveyors to sell its long-established portfolio of seven licensed premises across the Central Belt including much-loved bars in Glasgow, Paisley and Balloch.

Now, Head of hospitality and leisure at Shepherd, Gary Louttit, has spoken about the sale stating: “I’m delighted to have brought this iconic business to the market and to have been able to see the huge level of interest shown in it, resulting in an early sale at an optimum price.
