We love it when Glasgow's top restaurants go all out for big occasions and it looks like one Merchant City spot known for its impressive creations has created a belter of a special for the Euros.

Kicking off for the summer football tournament and celebrating its Italian connections, the team at Nonna Said at Candleriggs are pitting two of the country's favourite dishes against each other – and not in the way you might think.

Taking lasagne and spaghetti carbonara and - as you'd expect - throwing in their own twist, they've created their latest specials to celebrate the action that kicks off tonight (Friday, June 14).

Speaking about the new Euros-themed dishes, development chef for Nonna Said, John Molloy, stated: "To celebrate Italy kicking off their euros campaign, Nonna said have decided to pit two of Italy’s favourite dishes against each other... in the style of spring rolls.

"This weekend you can choose from spaghetti carbonara spring rolls with bacon and black pepper mayo or lasagne spring rolls with spicy Sugo sauce."

Both specials will be available over the opening weekend priced at £8 for two rolls and will be on offer until they run out which is sure to be quick, so make sure you don't miss out.
