Glastonbury Clean Up In Pictures: Thousands Leave Festival

The fun is over, time to go home.

Thousands of music lovers began making their way home from the Glastonbury Festival today.

Muddied and tired, the 135,000 revellers will leave behind an estimated 500,000 bags full of rubbish and more than 1,000 tonnes of recycling.

Tractors were on hand for vehicles that needed towing from muddy fields.

The festival was headlined by Muse, Adele and Coldplay, who brought the event to a close on Sunday night.
