Glastonbury Festival enthusiasts are in for a treat as the latest version of this year's festival map has been unveiled a month ahead of the event. Released yesterday (Thursday, May 23) on the festival's official website, the map offers a sneak peek at what changes have been implemented for the 2024 festivities.

While the map provides a detailed layout, it's worth noting that minor tweaks might still occur before the festival begins. Glasto Fest Feed has given a rundown of the newly released map against last year's, pointing out several significant alterations. A standout change for 2024 is the replacement of Arcadia's legendary giant spider stage with a dragonfly structure, and the area appears to be more compact than in previous years.

Over at Silver Hayes, there's been a reshuffle with the BBC Introducing tent shifting position and the Wow stage making way for a fresh feature named 'Assembly'. Additional spots such as The Information, Firmly Rooted Soundsy, and The Hive have also been added to the map.

Woodsies will introduce a new stage called 'The Tree', which Glasto Fest Feed describes as "A new outdoor venue, set beneath an oak tree decor canopy, zeroing into the immersive, ambient and experimental.", reports Wales Online.

For seasoned Glastonbury goers, perhaps the most notable change is the disappearance of the Rabbit Hole from its usual spot in The Park. It seems to have been substituted by two new stages or tents, as denoted by a pair of blue dots on the map. Festival-goers heading to the South East Corner of Glastonbury will discover a new access route via Avalon, as well as a fresh stage at Shangri-La, dubbed 'Arrivals'.

In 2023, attendees witnessed a significant change with the removal of the Row Mead campsite, situated opposite the Pyramid Stage. The area was fenced off last year to create additional space for spectators during Elton John's set. A new family-friendly camping area, Ash Tree, has also been introduced, located adjacent to the Cockmill Meadow Family Campsite.

The festival map is comprehensive, detailing all the necessary facilities and services keys to navigate the grounds, including car parking and campervan zones. Essential amenities such as first aid tents, water points, and toilets are clearly marked.

Glastonbury Festival is set to make its triumphant return to Worthy Farm next month, from Wednesday, June 26 to Sunday, June 30. This year's headliners include Dua Lipa (Friday), Coldplay (Saturday), and SZA (Sunday), with Shania Twain gracing the stage for the Legend's Tea Time slot.
