Good Morning Britain co-presenter Susanna Reid was forced to apologise earlier today (January 16) after one guest used some rather rude language.

Susanna and Piers Morgan were interviewing Madness member Suggs on the programme when the topic of his band's Diamond Jubilee performance – on the roof of Buckingham Palace , no less – came up.

However, as Piers asked him what was going through his head at the time, Suggs replied: "Shit, I'm scared of heights."

The trio then burst out into awkward laughter, as the Piers said: "Susanna likes to apologise in these moments when people do this so Susanna – apologise please."

Susanna then declared: "I apologise for the use of language on the programme."

Yesterday's Good Morning Britain saw viewers divided by an appearance from Ivana Trump, Donald Trump's ex-wife.

Also on yesterday's episode, Piers Morgan responded to an unflattering namecheck on Coronation Street where Eileen Grimshaw (played by Sue Cleaver) complained that he gives her a headache.

"Now, I couldn't understand where this impromptu, unprovoked attack had come from by a major Coronation Street star," he said – before joking that Richard Arnold's friendship with Sue could have had something to do with it.

Richard's response? "Yes, she is one of my best friends... If only I had that clout!"

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.
