The Siddiquis were hailed an "inspiration" as they returned to the Gogglebox sofa after their London Marathon efforts.

Baasit and Raza took on the ultimate running challenge at the weekend in aid of Me&Dee, a charity supporting families through challenging times. The reality stars completed the race in 4 hours 36 minutes and have been reunited with their dad on the sofa to commentate on the week's best TV for the upcoming episode.

They shared an update on Instagram with their medals as they reflected on the race. The caption said: "There is nothing quite like the London Marathon. It captures the spirit and pride of the country in a way that sometimes feels surreal.

"The love for the runners is incredible & each runner is running for a worthy cause. We learnt the hard way (photographic evidence) that the medals aren’t made from chocolate. We are beyond grateful to be fit and healthy enough to support a charity like @meanddeecharity and will continue to do so even though the Marathon is officially over."

The two said they took a break from social media "for personal reasons" and that impacted when they revealed the news about running the London Marathon. However, they were blown away by how much they were able to raise for charity.

They added: "For personal reasons, we were off social media for a few weeks and that’s had an impact on when we shared the news about running London. HOWEVER, in just over a week of posting we’ve raised close to £2000 for this incredible charity due to the incredible support of friends and well wishers.

"We set ourselves a lofty goal to raise £5000 and are still determined to reach this goal knowing it will go to an absolutely amazing charity. So, if I can ask you please to spread the word and donate what you can I know Me, Raza, Me and Dee and the families they support will be truly grateful."

Izzi Warner praised the two co-stars in the comments as she said: "Machines!! Well done both of you! Inspirational."

Sall added: "Well done you are both totally amazing and look how proud your father is."

Andrew commented: "Well done lads! people like you make this country great"
