If you're like us and watched the London Marathon while lying on your sofa in your PJs, eating cereal out the packet, you might be wondering exactly what it's like to take part in the gruelling 26.2 mile slog.

Thankfully, professional sofa-dweller Baasit Siddiqui of Googlebox got off his couch and ran it. And he shared the entire thing with us, by live streaming his run on Facebook.

Baasit started streaming live on BBC Sport five miles before he crossed the finish line, allowing us a first-hand view of what it's like to take part in the marathon.

The video, which lasts nearly an hour, sees Baasit running down the final five mile stretch of the London marathon and, somehow, he manages to keep talking through much of the video – where he got the energy from, we have no idea.

He even passes quite a few of his fellow runners on the race to the finish line.

Baasit turned the camera to himself for the final few yards of the race and managed to look relatively fresh-faced – he must be some kind of superhuman, surely?!

He described finishing the race as "amazing" and thanked viewers for their support, saying he felt a "real sense of accomplishment".

Before running Baasit received good luck messages on Twitter from some of his fellow Gogglebox stars, including Leon and June.

Gogglebox airs on Channel 4.
