Gogglebox's Daniel Lustig-Webb breaks silence as ex Stephen signs up to Celebs Go Dating

Gogglebox's Daniel Lustig-Webb has spoken out about his ex-partner Stephen Webb's reported decision to join the cast of Celebs Go Dating just weeks after they announced their split. Daniel, who became a household name alongside Stephen on the hit Channel 4 show Gogglebox, confirmed their separation last month.

The couple were married for six years but revealed they had decided to remain friends. Daniel, who runs a Brighton salon, revealed they are still living together in their Brighton home but had put it up for sale so they could find new propeties.

Daniel shared his thoughts on Stephen's surprise move to the E4 dating series Celebs Go Dating. When quizzed on whether it was too soon for Stephen to enter the dating scene again, Daniel quickly brushed off such concerns.

"No not at all, it's something that's gone on for a while and he'll be a very good candidate," he told The Sun. "He's got some very very funny stories if he is going on it."

He added: "Yes, of course I want him to find love again. We always want our exes and friends to find love and just to be happy."

An insider from the telly world previously revealed: "Stephen is set to sign up for Celebs Go Dating after successful advanced talks with E4 producers."

In April, Stephen and Daniel announced their split, but Daniel earlier revealed they had actually decided to separate 10 months ago. At the time, Stephen released a statement saying: "It's with much sadness Daniel and I have decided to divorce. There is, and always will be, a lot of love there but we've unfortunately grown apart and made the decision to part ways."

The pair have since been spotted enjoying time together as friends, going for rides along the Brighton seafront and working together at their salon.
