Good Omens trailer: David Tennant and Michael Sheen star in Amazon's Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett adaptation

Amazon Prime has released the first for their upcoming adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Sir Terry Pratchett’s novel Good Omens.

The six-part series stars Michael Sheen as a fussy angel and David Tennant as a loose-living devil.

Both characters have become overly fond of life on Earth are forced to form an unlikely alliance to stop Armageddon. Unfortunately, they have lost the Antichrist, an 11-year-old boy unaware that he’s meant to bring about the end of days.

The series also stars Jon Hamm, Nick Offerman, Jack Whitehall, Miranda Richardson, Adria Arjona, Michael McKean, Anna Maxwell Martin and Mireille Enos.

Benedict Cumberbatch has been cast as the voice of Satan, while Frances McDormand will voice God.

Gaiman previously revealed that Pratchett, who died in 2015 following a battle with Alzheimer’s, asked him as a “last request” to bring the novel to television.

Good Omens will be available on Amazon Prime from 31 May.
