Gordon, Gino & Fred: Road Trip fans have hailed the show as the new Top Gear as the series aired for the last time.
Italian chef Gino D’Acampo, foul-mouthed restaurateur Gordon Ramsay and French Maitre d' Fred Sirieix filmed the campervan trip round Spain some time ago – and it has now been confirmed there will not be another series, as the threesome have failed to agree dates and contracts.
Fans were delighted to see it air on ITV1 on Sunday and Monday evening and likened the presenters' antics to the hijinks of former Top Gear and The Grand Tour stars Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.
One wrote on social media platform, X [formerly Twitter]: "#gordonginoandfred the culinary answer to Top Gear…"
Another agreed: "The old top gear that is #gordonginoandfred... Best trio that ain’t JeremyClarkson MrJamesMay and RichardHammond."
One viewer said: "#GordonGinoandFred Gordon is Clarkson and Gino is Hammond and Fred May?"
And another added: "#GordonGinoandFred It’s funny but it’s just as contrived as The Grand Tour."
Many fans shared their delight at watching the camaraderie between the trio.

One viewer shared a clip of D'Acampo saying he hoped to keep road tripping with Ramsay and Sirieix for the next 30 years, asking: "The next 30 years???? So what happened Ginofantastico ?"
Why is Gordon, Gino & Fred's Road Trip coming to an end?
D'Acampo, 46, told Good Morning Britain: "The main [issue] was about the dates, trying to get the dates together. We tried and then we got the date and then they got cancelled.
"And then I thought, 'I don’t want to do this any more.' It got too stressful."
In 2021 D'Acampo revealed filming for Gordon, Gino and Fred's Road Trip had been delayed as Ramsay was working in the US.
D'Acampo and Sirieix have now announced they are teaming up for a new ITV show Emission Impossible, which will see them embark on an environmentally friendly food road trip, which aims to be as sustainable as possible.
The Italian TV presenter, the 56-year-old Michelin-starred chef and 51-year-old Sirieix began their road trip series in 2018. Over three seasons they have travelled the world together sampling local cultures and cuisines in countries including France, Italy, Scotland, Morocco, the US, Finland and Greece.
