Warning: The following article contains spoilers for Game of Thrones' most recent episode 'Beyond the Wall' and this weekend's finale.

It looks very much like Game of Thrones is going to give those hoping for a Daenerys and Jon Snow romance exactly what they want this weekend.

HBO has made it official that Sunday's seventh season finale will indeed be called 'The Dragon and the Wolf', and that it will stretch to a near-movie length 79 minutes, 43 seconds.

Fans of Game of Thrones will know that 'The Dragon and the Wolf' refers to the sigils of the Targaryen and Stark houses, led in the show at this point by Daenerys and Jon Snow.

The signposts for a romance were already palpable in last weekend's 'Beyond the Wall', which climaxed with Jon referring to Dany as his Queen and volunteering to bend the knee. Watch that moment below:

Daenerys rescued Jon and his band of allies from the frozen land north of the wall at the height of their battle with the Night King, losing her beloved dragon Viserion to the army of the dead in the process.

The extra running time for 'The Dragon and the Wolf' will most definitely be needed because this finale also includes the long-awaited reunion of Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) with her brother Tyrion (Peter Dinklage).

The two are brought together in King's Landing by Jon Snow in hopes of rallying all of the kingdoms to battle the Night King and his White Walkers together.

"There is only one war that matters. And it is here," Jon warns them.

Will Cersei actually consent to an alliance with her enemies, or does she have a cunning plan in mind to finish them off all at once?

Game of Thrones finishes off its seventh season this Sunday (August 27) at 9pm on HBO in the US. It will be simulcast at 2am on Sky Atlantic on Monday (August 28) in the UK.
