Graham Norton says ‘it’s so perfect’ as he reveals identity of Eurovision 2024 spokesperson

Graham Norton has confirmed that Dame Joanna Lumley will be the United Kingdom’s spokesperson at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. The presenter and Eurovision commentator confirmed the news during BBC’s The One Show on Friday, May 3.

Teasing the announcement Graham said: “I hope this goes better than the last Eurovision announcement I made on this show,” referring to when he accidentally spoiled which city Eurovision 2023 would be held two years ago.

After revealing Absolutely Fabulous star Joanna as this year’s spokesperson Graham said: “How has she not done it before? It’s so perfect.” What do you think of the choice? Let us know in the comments.

Joanna is perhaps best known for her role as Patsy Stone in BBC sitcom Absolutely Fabulous, a role she portrayed between 1992 and 2012. She has also appeared in The New Avengers, Sapphire & Steel, and Coronation Street.
