The Great British Bake Off spoilers follow.

The Great British Bake Off 2023's eliminated bakers have penned heartfelt goodbye letters following a Pastry Week's double exit.

After an illness the previous week, Tuesday's (October 24) episode saw the bakers under extra pressure to impress with the threat of a double elimination looming.

However, for Rowan and Nicky, it was the end of road after overcooked pies and a technical challenge failure. The pair have each penned farewell messages to fans, reflecting on their time in the famous white tent.

Asked to describe his Bake Off experience in three words, Rowan wrote: "Really chuffing great."

He then added: "Bake Off isn't just cakes and tents. It's finding confidence, meeting new friends and most of all, having a good old time down South.

"I feel more at peace with myself and grateful for the bakers and the crew who helped me feel so content and supported.

"Thanks for the ride Bake Off, halfway through isn't too shabby."

Nicky referenced her famous week one Showstopper in her note. Fans will remember she created Norman the Beaver, which had left fans giggling after judge Prue Leith made a hilarious innuendo about the cake.

"I never would have thought in my wildest dreams that I would end up baking in a big white tent in the middle of a field with 11 amazing, talented chums and that Norman, the cute wee fella would cause such a stir around the world," she wrote.

"For me, I have loved meeting so man wonderful people throughout my journey on Bake Off and a massive thanks to everyone for all their support."

The pair join fellow eliminated bakers Amos Lilley, Keith Barron and Abbi Lawso — who left the competition in Cake Week, Biscuits Week and Bread Week respectively.

The Great British Bake Off airs on Channel 4 in the UK. In the US, it's known as The Great British Baking Show and streams on Netflix.
