Greek Farmers Clash With Police Amid Protest Over Bailout Reforms

There were violent clashes outside Greece’s Ministry of Rural Development in Athens on March 8 between riot police and farmers from Crete who were protesting reforms relating to the country’s austerity measures, according to reports.

A number of bins were set on fire and objects were hurled at police. Police fired tear gas and blockaded a street using buses.
