Gregg Wallace has said if he could give his younger self advice it would be to not marry his first three wives.

The MasterChef star, 55, has walked down the aisle four times, but has come to the conclusion that the first three marriages “weren’t right”.

Wallace was married to first wife Christine for just months in 1991, to second wife Denise from 1999 to 2004 and tied the knot with third wife Heidi in 2010.

They split in 2012 and in 2016 Wallace exchanged vows with his current wife Anna.

He has now said he wished he had waited for her to come along.

Asked on The Makers Podcast what advice he would give to his 15-year-old self, Wallace said: “Please don’t marry until you meet Anna.

“The others weren’t right - wait until you meet Anna.”

Wallace and his wife have 21 years between them but they have both made it clear that age is not relevant to them.

Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine last year, Wallace said: “I'm not a different person, I have just met someone who really likes and appreciates who I am.

“The chances of meeting someone who has got what you want and they've got what you want – it's got to be luck!"

The couple are parents to 11-month-old son Sid, and Wallace has two grown up children from his marriage to Denise.
