Greggs loyalty scheme shake-up will allow customers to get freebies twice as quick

Greggs is introducing a major change to its loyalty scheme that will let customers earn double rewards for a limited time only.

From Monday, July 8, the bakery chain is launching Happier Hours for Greggs app users, allowing them to earn double the amount of stamps on all purchases after 5pm. Better yet, the offer is valid on all items on the Greggs menu.

Once customers collect a total of nine stamps, they can redeem it for a free item off the menu. If a customer took advantage of the latest offer, they would only need to make five trips to get enough stamps for a freebie.

However, customers don't have long to take advantage of the offer as it will only be available until Saturday, August 10. Fortunately, more than 1,200 Greggs stores across the country are open until 7pm, giving you plenty of time to claim your double stamps.

Greggs fans wanting to take advantage of the latest deal can download the chain's app on both iOS and Android devices for free. In order to claim the stamp, you must scan the app at the point of purchase, once nine are collected you can use the app again to get your freebie.

Deals are frequently added to the app, including a free sweet treat on customers' birthdays. Signing up to the app also makes you eligible for one free hot drink, including tea, a variety of coffees, or hot chocolate.
