Grimes says she suffered panic attack and went to hospital days after Elon Musk's 'SNL' debut

Grimes has said she suffered a panic attack days after her boyfriend Elon Musk's hosting debut on US comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live.

The 33-year-old singer, real name Claire Boucher, made a cameo as Princess Peach during a courtroom spoof of the Super Mario video games.

She posted a photo of herself in costume alongside musical guest star star Miley Cyrus to Instagram.

"Forgot to post these cuz I somehow caused myself to have a panic attack and went to the hospital yesterday which tbh was quite scary and I suppose it’s a good time to start therapy 😑😑😑. But nonetheless - wowwwww @mileycyrus is good live and so chill!" she wrote.

Grimes went on to praise 49-year-old Musk, who had been a controversial hosting choice, for his efforts.

"So grateful to the SNL team for being so kind and letting me sneak in as princess peach snd so proud of my beautiful E (which I know will upset the grimes fans so I apologize in advance) but he killed it 🤍," she went on.

The couple welcomed their first child into the world last year, a son they named X Æ A-Xii.

Billionaire Musk made light of their unusual choice on SNL as he joked: “It’s pronounced cat running across keyboard.”
