Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2: First look at Kurt Russel's character Ego the Living Planet - AKA Star Lord's father
Despite Marvel revealing numerous trailers for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, no footage of Kurt Russell’s character Ego the Living Planet - AKA Star Lord’s father - has been officially released.
However, while Disney may be hiding the character from the general public, with a project this big, and with so much merchandise, we were bound to see Russell’s character at some stage before the film’s official release.
Thanks to the New York Toy Fair, we finally have a first proper look at Ego and how he will appear in the upcoming sequel.

Notably, the character has a sturdy beard, reminiscent of Ego Prime, the humanoid version of Ego seen in the Thor comics.
Fingers crossed, we’ll still see Russell as an actual planet, hopefully with makeup reminiscent of Noel Fielding’s Moon in The Mighty Boosh.
Recently, reports indicated that Vol. 2 was scoring incredibly well with test audiences, setting a new record for Marvel studios, being better received than both Avengers and Iron Man 3.
