Manchester City could be in the market for some new signings this summer if the rumours are to be believed.

City won the Premier League title for a fourth consecutive season and the sixth time in the Pep Guardiola era last month. However, the club failed to win any other major trophy after missing out on the FA Cup, Champions League and Carabao Cup.

Next season will see City go again to try and win major trophies domestically and in Europe. Guardiola and Co. will already have plans in motion for how they will want the squad to look when City face Manchester United in the Community Shield followed by the start of the Premier League season in August.

With the new season still a couple of months away, MEN Sport has taken a look at how Guardiola's dream 25-man squad could look if some of the latest transfers come true.

Goalkeepers: Ederson, Ortega, Carson

The goalkeeping department has already seen a fair amount of speculation. Ederson has been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium with the Saudi Pro League reportedly a potential destination.

City would ideally prefer to keep the Brazilian at the club into next season. Stefan Ortega has proved himself to be a worthy deputy when called upon, especially last season.

Scott Carson is also still at the club and his experience has proved valuable in the dressing room in recent years. Guardiola would ideally not want to change much, if anything, in the goalkeeping department this summer.

Defenders: Walker, Akanji, Dias, Stones, Gvardiol, Lewis, Gomez

City are well-stocked when it comes to defenders but will still have some decisions to make. Kyle Walker, Manuel Akanji, Ruben Dias, John Stones and Josko Gvardiol all look set to star again next season, while Rico Lewis remains a player for the present as well as the future.

However, there remains uncertainty over the futures of Joao Cancelo and Sergio Gomez. Cancelo spent the season on loan at Barcelona and could be in line for a permanent departure this summer, with Gomez linked with a return to Spain.

Midfielders: De Bruyne, Rodri, Silva, Guimaraes, Kovacic, Wirtz, Nunes, Bobb, Phillips

City have a wealth of options in midfield, too, but not enough to stop rumours of potential further additions. Newcastle star Bruno Guimaraes and Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Florian Wirtz have been linked with moves to the Etihad this summer.

Rumours linking Guimaraes with a move to City have been much stronger than those for Wirtz. Real Madrid have also been linked with the Leverkusen star, who looks increasingly likely to remain at the Bundesliga club until 2025 at least.

However, Guimaraes remains a City target for this summer if reports are to be believed. If the Brazilian was to move to the Etihad he would be a valuable addition to Guardiola's squad for the season ahead.

Forwards: Haaland, Rodrygo, Foden, Alvarez, Doku, Grealish

City's forward line could undergo some changes this summer. Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish and Jeremy Doku remain likely to be part of Guardiola's squad for the season ahead.

Julian Alvarez has been linked with a move away from City, with Atletico Madrid reportedly interested. However, City would ideally want to keep the Argentina international at the Etihad beyond this summer.

Reports in recent days have also linked Real Madrid star Rodrygo with a move to City. Liverpool have also been linked, and if City were to make a move for the forward it could cost around £100million if reports are to be believed.
