Gyles Brandreth has said that he will "never" appear on Strictly Come Dancing despite being a fan of the show.

The Celebrity Gogglebox star has said he has been approached to appear on the show several times but has always turned the offers down.

Brandreth, who was previously a Conservative MP, said on Twitter: "Yes, I have been approached about doing #Strictly (and I’m flattered because I love the show), but sadly it’s not for me for this compelling reason: I ain’t got rhythm … I REALLY ain’t got rhythm."
