Halle Berry's Ex Gabriel Aubry Fights Her Fiance

Halle Berry's ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry has been released on bail after getting into a fight with her current partner at her California home.

The brawl reportedly broke out after he arrived at the house in Los Angeles to drop off Nahla, his four-year daughter with the Oscar-winning actress, when he took offence at something Olivier Martinez said to him.

Cloud Atlas star Berry, 46, and Aubry, a 37-year-old French-Canadian model, have been involved in a custody dispute over their daughter.

It is said she had wanted to take the child to Martinez's native France to live but lost the case.

Aubry was detained for "investigation of a battery", a misdemeanor, and released on \$20,000 (£12,500) bail, according to online jail records.

LA police officer Julie Boyer said police responded to a report of an assault on Thursday. It is understood that neither Berry nor her daughter witnessed the altercation.

Aubry was injured and was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released. It is reported that he suffered a broken rib and a head injury.

The US celebrity website TMZ reported that Martinez, 46, was also treated for injuries.

Berry has been dating Martinez, Kylie Minogue's former boyfriend, since 2010, and he said earlier this year that they are engaged.

She was with Aubry for four years, splitting with him in 2010.

Aubry is scheduled to appear in court in Los Angeles on December 13.
