This is the haunting final photograph taken of Halyna Hutchins on the Rust film before Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun and killed the cinematographer in a tragedy which rocked Hollywood.

The photo showed the church on the New Mexico set of the film where Ms Hutchins was shot in the chest last Thursday.

Chief technician Serge Svetnoy shared the picture on October 22 with the caption: “This is the last photo with Halyna on set.”

Emotional Mr Svetnoy had previously told of how Ms Hutchins died in his arms following the shooting.

He wrote on Facebook: “Yes, I was standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Halyna during this fatal shot that took her life and injured the director Joel Souza.

“I was holding her in my arms while she was dying. Her blood was on my hands.”

The lighting technician went on to explain how the pair had become close friends and shared food on set.

He went on: “I have received hundreds of calls, text messages, letters with words of support and condolences since the day of the tragedy with Halyna Hutchins, and I’m very grateful to everyone.

“Yes, I knew Halyna, not for a year. I worked with Her on almost all of her films. Sometimes we’ve shared food and water.

“We’ve been burning under the sun, freezing in the snow on the shoots. We took care of each other. Yes, I can say with 100% confidence she was my friend. WAS!!!”

Alec Baldwin on Friday said “there are no words to convey my shock and sadness” at Ms Hutchins’ death.

He added he was “fully cooperating” with the police investigation and he had been supporting Ms Hutchins’ husband Matt.

Baldwin’s wife Hilaria wrote on Instagram: “My heart is with Halyna. Her husband. Her son. Their family and loved ones. And my Alec.

“It’s said, ‘There are no words’ because it’s impossible to express the shock and heartache of such a tragic accident. Heartbreak. Loss. Support.”

Photographs published by The Santa Fe New Mexican newspaper shortly after the incident captured an emotional Mr Baldwin doubled over and apparently in tears outside a police station.

Director Joel Souza, 48, was also injured during the shooting but he was discharged from hospital on Friday following treatment, according to Frances Fisher who stars in the film.
