Handbags have been snatched from the emergency area of one of Birmingham's busiest hospitals. West Midlands Police is probing the thefts of two bags from A&E at Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield. Officers issued a picture of a man who may have information.

The CCTV still showed a man wearing a black baseball cap and trousers of the same colour. No arrests had been made. Police inquiries were ongoing.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Birmingham Police posted: "#APPEAL | Do you recognise this man? We're looking to speak to him after two handbags were stolen from the Accident and Emergency area at Good Hope Hospital in #SuttonColdfield. If you recognise this man, contact us via 101 or Live Chat quoting crime number 20/195099/24."
