"Bella found the kennel environment extremely stressful so I have been fostering her whilst she continues to undergo medical treatment with us for her skin condition. Despite her poor background history, Bella hasn't let this interfere with being such a loving, happy dog. She is a sweet girl, with a loyalty like no other and spends her days at the centre greeting people in reception, brightening up their day. It is hard not to fall in love with her."
Bella's care was made possible thanks to funds raised by players of the RSPCA Big Animal Lottery, which has just reached a landmark £30m raised. The lottery offers participants the opportunity to win weekly cash prizes, while also raising funds for animal welfare.
Megan continued: “Bella enjoys any form of human interaction and would prefer to have an adopter that is home for the majority of the day whilst she settles into her new home and new routine. Bella is a very loveable dog, with such a sassy personality. She loves being fussed and she will never turn down a cuddle, and she also absolutely loves her squeaky toys and treats.
“She has enjoyed many adventures with me and my dog, Silky, so we feel that she could potentially live with another dog. Bella walks well on a lead and she is a sociable girl who has enjoyed her trips to local fields, beaches and woodland areas.”
She added: “Rehabilitating and rehoming an animal like Bella takes time and ongoing vet treatment. This sort of in-depth treatment and rehabilitation just couldn’t happen without the support and fundraising we receive from our kind donors, so we are incredibly grateful to players of the RSPCA Big Animal Lottery for raising money which goes towards helping us change the lives of animals like Bella.”
