Harry Kane took the internet by storm prior to Bayern Munich's clash with Arsenal as he tested his German language skills for the first time publicly in an Audi advert with his teammates.

Despite a commanding debut season with Bayern, where he's already netted 39 goals from 39 outings, Kane may still find himself bereft of any trophies this year following Bayer Leverkusen's premier Bundesliga title win last weekend.

One major hurdle Kane had to surmount in Germany was overcoming the language obstacle, with the England skipper revealing in December that he was taking two language classes per week.

A recent commercial by Audi, the club's official sponsor, features Kane showcasing some newly-acquired German vocabulary. As he drives, teammate Thomas Muller enquires: "Harry, where are we going?" To which, he responds: "Umleitung," meaning 'detour' in German.

As the former Tottenham Hotspur star performs a series of stunts through the streets of Bavaria, fellow striker Mathys Tel, seated in the back, questions Muller about Kane's seriousness.

Football legend Muller then asks: "Harry, you know 'Umleitung' isn't a place right?" To which Kane responds: "Thomas, I know. I'm just getting to know my new home."

Another amusing moment follows at the end of the advert when Muller jests "next destination 'Einbahnstrasse'" - translating to one-way street. Kane tries to repeat what his German teammate said but nearly bursts into laughter.
