Harry and Meghan's son Archie snubbed by Royal Family on his 5th birthday

On his 5th birthday, Archie Harrison, the son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, was reportedly snubbed by the Royal Family. Archie is today marking his fifth year with his family, including his two year old sister, Lilibet.

He was born on May 6, 2019, at 05:26 in London's Portland Hospital. Remarkably, despite the milestone event, the young prince has been publicly overlooked by the royals on their official social media accounts today.

Notably, the Royal Family often extends birthday wishes to other family members, even when they are no longer senior working royals. The Queen, prior to her passing, extended a warm birthday greeting to the Duchess of Sussex in the very year that Meghan and Harry relocated to America, reports the Mirror.

Her birthday message was shared via the Royal Family's Instagram account, stating: "Wishing The Duchess of Sussex a very happy birthday."

As per an expert, speaking in 2022, there is reports that the royal website, along with their Twitter and Instagram pages, will not send birthday greetings to non-working Royal Family members unless it is a significant milestone birthday, like reaching a decade.

In August 2023, it surfaced that royal aides only celebrated the birthdays of working royals on their official social media profiles. This came to light during Meghan's 42nd birthday, appearing as though she had been "snubbed".

Archie is the eldest child and only son of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Unlike traditional royal birth traditions, Archie's arrival was not unveiled with a photoshoot outside the hospital; rather Buckingham Palace announced his birth via a framed notice displayed on an easel outside the palace.

Archie became an older brother at the tender age of two, when his little sister Lilibet entered the world in Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, California, on June 4, 2021, at 11:40 am. Both children have been raised in California with less contact than usual to their wider family residing in the UK.
