There's still a lot of love between the Harry Potter cast seven years after the film series ended – even those who were on opposite sides in the magical world.

Actors Matthew Lewis and Tom Felton may have played sworn enemies Neville Longbottom and Draco Malfoy in the series but they're pretty tight in real life.

They enjoyed a reunion this week, with Matthew sharing a rather excellent photo of them on Instagram.

Take your Slytherin paws off me, you damn dirty ape! @t22felton

While Tom was showing a lot of love for his former co-star, putting his arm over his shoulders, Matthew looked rather less impressed by the fact that Tom was carrying a bag with a prominent Slytherin logo on it.

And the Gryffindor made his feelings clear by captioning the photo: "Take your Slytherin paws off me, you damn dirty ape!" – which also pulls the double duty of referencing another of Tom's roles, as abusive Dodge Landon in Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

Thankfully we know it's all for show as the actors have been close since their Potter days.

In fact, this is the second time in a few months that the stars have reunited, as they met up with Hermione Granger actress Emma Watson in April.

Posing for a cute photo, Tom called them all "school mates" and "Hogwarts alumni" – and made us all jealous that we're not friends with them too.

But if you want a slice of real-life Potter for yourself, get down to Argos and grab an animatronic Sorting Hat, which will sort you into one of the four Hogwarts Houses.

Accio wallet.
