Harry Redknapp's next move: I'm a Celeb winner has special plans for Emily Atack and son Jamie

I’m A Celebrity’s Harry Redknapp has confirmed he will be trying to set Emily Atack up with his son Jamie Redknapp.

The new King of the Jungle joked with Good Morning Britain that he might try his hand at matchmaking his divorced son with Atack after she admitted to fancying him .

Redknapp told the show that Atack, who finished as runner-up, “scrubbed up well” and that he didn’t recognise her back at the hotel.

The 71-year-old said: “I’ll be honest – when I saw her in the jungle I thought no chance but I’ve seen her today when she scrubbed up and she looks alright.

“She looks good but when I saw her in the jungle I thought ‘no, you ain’t got a prayer’. Today she looked fantastic. I went ‘who are you’. She went ‘I was in the jungle with you’ and I went ‘I haven’t seen you before!’. She was brilliant, she was great.”

Presenter Kate Garraway gasped at Redknapp’s comments, pointing out that Atack had said in her exit interview that she was happy to be seen without make up and embrace her freckles and natural look.

Piers Morgan, who had been in hysterics during the exchange, quipped: “Harry, do you feel like you’re a breath of politically incorrect fresh air just when this country needs it?”

Redknapp, 71, gushed over his own love story with his wife of 50 years, Sandra, as he branded her his “life”.

The football manager said: “54 years we’ve been together – we were only just 17. Never been apart since.

“I don’t care what people think, I love her like mad. She’s my life. I do know one thing and Jamie always says to me ‘how did you pull her’. He’s not wrong.”

Redknapp, who revealed he lost a stone in the jungle, won over the nation with his stories about Sandra, recounting their life together.

Viewers were left in tears last Friday as Redknapp was briefly reunited with his wife in camp, taking pride in introducing her to his fellow campmate s.
