Harry Redknapp is already winning over I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here viewers, with the unlikeliest of tales.

The ITV reality show returned to screens on Sunday night (November 18) with a new presenter in the form of Holly Willoughby, and a whole new batch of celebrities.

Among them was former football manger Harry Redknapp; who was one of four celebrities competing in a driving challenge called Hell Holes.

And, after climbing into the passenger seat of his team's jeep, he shared with his fellow teammates the unlikely but nonetheless completely true story of a time back in 2016 when he accidentally dragged his wife Sandra along a road when her foot got trapped in his car, leaving her injured.

Or, as Harry put it, "ran over my wife".

He explained: "I used to think I was a good driver but I had a nightmare and ran over my wife one day.

"I mean, you couldn't make it up, could you?

"She got out the car and I thought she'd crossed the road and I pulled forward and she fell into the road and a bus stopped literally yards away and the most amazing part of the story probably, my grand-daughter is sitting on top of the bus and sees all of this. Unreal."

Needless to say, the anecdote didn't go unnoticed by I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here viewers, who couldn't help but mention Harry's casual admittance of the incident:

An early favourite, perhaps?

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here continues tomorrow night (November 19) on ITV.
