He's no stranger to making a fashion statement, and neither was she. But Harry Styles taking his sartorial cues from Friends character Rachel was a plot twist we didn't see coming.
26-year-old Styles was snapped by a fan in Los Angeles earlier this month wearing Rachel's 'Save the drama for your mama' t-shirt, which is from the ‘The One After Joey and Rachel Kiss’ episode of hit sitcom Friends.
In a now-deleted comment on the social media post, Styles' sister Gemma admitted to making and embroidering the t-shirt for her brother, but the Internet has already churned out lookalike offerings (£8.99, buy now.)
It's unknown where the OG t-shirt which Jennifer Aniston originally wore derives from. According to a fan page on Instagram, Friends costume designer and stylist, Debra Maguire, "would often visit small boutiques to source items for the Friends characters but also created a number of vintage-looking t-shirts inspired by thrift store rummages."
Harry out in LA / October 18, 2020 Save the drama for your mama t-shirt (originally worn by Jennifer Aniston as Rachel Green in Friends) It is unclear whether the original t-shirt worn by Rachel Green was vintage, custom-made, or bought from a small boutique in LA never to be seen again. According to the Friends stylist and costume designer, Debra McGuire, she would often visit small boutiques to source items for the Friends characters but also created a number of vintage-looking t-shirts inspired by thrift store rummages. As for Harry’s t-shirt, @gemmastyles confirmed it was embroidered by her as a gift for Harry for his birthday. If you’d like to own a replica of this piece, a simple search for the t-shirt will yield many results (we recommend Etsy or Depop for a nicely-done embroidery). Worn with: @marni trousers

Of course, this isn't the first time Styles has had us swooning over his sartorial moves. From his Watermelon Sugar video which had us week at the knees for the Mancunian's retro-inspired get-up to the polarising Lanvin sheep jumper he debuted in New York in February, the crooner really does put the style into Styles.
The news comes ahead of Styles' fifth single release next week, which was yesterday confirmed to be Golden from his album Fine Lines. The star was pictured on the Amalfi Coast filming the video for it earlier this summer, so we await with bated breath to see the no doubt stellar looks he sports in it.
