Heavy Hail in Clarksville as Tornadic Storms Sweep Across Tennessee

A tornado watch was in effect for 15 counties in Tennessee as severe storms moved across parts of the state, and several others, bringing at least 13 twisters with them.

The storms were forecast to bring strong wind and “golf-ball-sized” hail to parts of the state, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Footage released by Clarksville Fire Rescue shows hail coming down outside its headquarters as lightning flashes.

Two deaths were reported in Tennessee after the storms, one in Maury County and one in Claiborne County, The Tennessean said. Credit: Clarksville Fire Rescue via Storyful
