There is a heavy police presence following a firearms raid on property in a picturesque village in the Vale of Evesham today. Early this morning, Thursday, May 2, police executed a warrant at land off the Evesham Road, in Cleeve Prior, Worcestershire.

The warrant was carried out under the Firearms Act 1968 and police are likely to remain on scene for some time while searches take place. Officers say that there is no wider risk to residents living nearby.
