Helen Skelton says 'never say that again' and demands 'ban' on two-word phrase

Helen Skelton has opened up on motherhood and the one word she thinks should be 'banned' when it comes to parenting. The BBC Strictly Come Dancing finalist from the 2022 series, who reached the final with Gorka Marquez, has called for a "ban" on a phrase and says: "Never again."

BBC Morning Live star Helen, a mum-of-three, said: "I'd encourage myself to enjoy things as nothing stays the same. Everything changes, so just embrace whatever stage you're in. Whatever will happen, will happen."

Discussing 'mum guilt', Helen went on: "I think that's a term we should just never say out loud again. You could use that term about everything in your life. Are we not doing enough exercise do we feel guilty? Are we not eating enough vegetables do we feel guilty?

"It's a phrase that should be parked. You've got to really invest in the right energy and guilt is just a waste." Helen is reportedly exploring the dating scene with a focus on finding "new adventures" rather than seeking another long-term relationship.

A source told OK! that Helen is "reluctantly dipping her toe back into the dating pool" and isn't rushing into commitment after her trust was compromised. The source said: "After her trust was broken, she's nowhere near ready for an all-in long-term romance.

"But she's not closing herself off to anything anymore. She's open to new adventures in all respects and is making it her aim to say 'yes' to more things that excite her." Helen shares children Ernie, eight, Louis, six, and two year old Elsie with her rugby player ex-husband Richie Myler.

She and Richie continue to co-parent amicably, even as he has moved on with Stephanie Thirkill, daughter of Leeds Rhino president Andrew Thirkill, welcoming a daughter last April and now reportedly expecting their second child.
