At least eight people were killed and several others missing following multiple landslides on the Italian vacation island of Ischia on Saturday, November 26.
“There are eight people dead in the Ischia landslide. Rescuers are working in difficult conditions,” infrastructure minister Matteo Salvini was quoted as saying.
The landslides were caused by flooding on Ischia – an island sitting around 20 miles off the coast of the city of Naples.
