THE red carpet will be rolled out for royalty visiting the Isle of Wight next week.

Princess Anne is scheduled to make visits to two important and historic institutions on the Island on Thursday, May 16.

As royal patron of the National Coastwatch Institution, the Princess Royal will visit Bembridge National Coastwatch Station.

Then, as president of the Royal Yachting Association, Princess Anne will officially open Sea View Yacht Club's new Training Centre in Duver Road, Seaview.

A Year 5 class of 31 youngsters, from St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Ryde, has been invited to attend the opening and to chat to the royal.

Children from the school attend training sessions at the club.
