Kate Middleton breaks silence amid cancer fight with update on personal project

Kate Middleton has broken her silence amid her cancer fight to share a fresh update on a new project. The move from the Princess of Wales to post a trailer for a short film marks the first project she has been involved in since her cancer diagnosis.

Kate shared the film which explores the mental health challenges faced by Britain's farmers. Writing on her official account, she said: "This #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek we’ve brought together the inspirational Sam Stables from We Are Farming Minds and the brilliant Farmer Will for a very special film.

"Spending a day together on Sam’s farm in Hereford they chatted about mental health in the farming community, finding support and the Duchy of Cornwall’s Mental Health Strategy." The film is now available in full on YouTube.

Although Kate doesn't feature in the video, which is now available on YouTube, it was produced under the guidance of herself and Prince William. Last week, during a trip to the Isles of Scilly, Prince William shared that his wife is "doing well" in her recovery process.

William's comments come after Kate stepped back from royal duties, with her last public appearance occurring on Christmas Day. Responding to the clip, one Royal Family fan typed: "Can't even begin to say how much I love the awareness HRH The Prince of Wales brings to the issues surrounding Mental Health."

A second gushed: "This is such a truthful and heartbreaking story of life on a farm, life on a farm is all consuming and there is very little time for yourself ,and it can and is very isolating so it is wonderful to see William highlighting the challenges farmers feel."

And another chimed in saying: "I love that the video is centered on an issue that very few of us know about and the impact on the farming community. Thank you to the Prince and Princess of Wales. There are so many issues that they have used their platform to highlight that I have wanted to learn more about."
