High net-worth mortgage broker hires head of Scotland

Enness Global, a mortgage broker for high and ultra-high net-worth individuals and business owners, has appointed Tamara Crowson as its new head of Scotland.

This newly-created role has been designed to cater for the growing demand for high-value mortgage finance north of the border, typified by the growing number of million-pound properties across the country - as well as the ongoing corporate finance needs of Scotland’s many entrepreneurs and founders.

Crowson, who has more than 25 years' private banking experience, will be based in Scotland, providing in-market support and personalised service.

Islay Robinson, Cchief executive at Enness Global, remarked: ”With some of the most impressive real estate in the UK, Scotland has always been a market we have taken seriously.

”However, the creation of this new role will allow us to better meet the growing needs of the high net-worth north of the border, as well as non-residents looking to purchase and invest in Scotland.

”I am also delighted to welcome Tamara Crowson as our new head of Scotland, who brings an intimate understanding of the local market developed over her 25 years within the Scottish private banking sector.”

Founded in 2007 and independently owned, Enness Global specialises in large and international mortgages, property and corporate finance, securities-backed lending and insurance.

Bank of England likely to cut rates in August, former MPC member says
The Bank of England is likely to cut interest rates soon, "probably in August", as long as inflation and wage data align with the Monetary Policy Committee's (MPC) May forecasts, a former MPC member said on Thursday. "They have clearly signalled they are willing to cut soon if data are okay," Michael Saunders, an MPC member at the Bank of England (BoE) between 2016 and 2022, told the Reuters Global Markets Forum (GMF).
