High Potential Renewed for Season 2

ABC is keeping Morgan Guillory on the case, renewing High Potential for Season 2, TVLine has learned.

High Potential is thus far averaging 6.6 million total viewers and a 0.6 demo rating, up 40% in audience versus time slot predecessor The Good Doctor and standing as this TV season’s second-most watched new drama (trailing only CBS’ Matlock).

Based on the French series HPI, ABC’s High Potential stars Kaitlin Olson (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) as Morgan, a cleaning lady whose keen observational skills earn her a consulting gig with the Los Angeles Police Department. High Potential also stars Daniel Sunjata (Rescue Me) as Karadec, Javicia Leslie (Batwoman) as Daphne, Deniz Akdeniz (The Flight Attendant) as Lev “Oz” Ozdil, Amirah J (Shameless) as Ava, Matthew Lamb (Firebuds) as Elliot and Judy Reyes (Claws) as Selena.

Todd Harthan serves as showrunner, executive-producing alongside Drew Goddard and Sarah Esberg.

This renewal, while certainly welcome, shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to fans of the ABC procedural. “We would all be shocked if we don’t get [a second season] at this point,” Sunjata recently told TVLine. “The numbers have been so good, the performance of the show has been so good, and the response has been so warm. We’ve been so warmly received by the audience we’re cultivating.”

New episodes of High Potential air Tuesdays at 9/8c on ABC. Are you excited to that Morgan & Co. will be back for a second season? Drop a comment with your thoughts on the quirky procedural below.
