Historic East Anglian firm expands into Norfolk with new city office

A chartered accountants with more than 130 years of history in East Anglia has opened its Norfolk office.

Ensors Chartered Accountants was founded by Isaac Lott Ensor, who opened the firm’s first office on Museum Street in Ipswich in 1889.

In the years since has opened sites in six locations, including Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, and London.

Now, the business is adding Norwich to that list, with a new office at St James Place on Whitefriars.

The site will house specialists in corporate finance, corporate services, business recovery, and corporate tax, as well as members of the private client team.

The company said the launch of its Norwich office was another step in its expansion into northern East Anglia, and would provide a number of job opportunities to students and qualified accountants.

A spokesman for Ensors Chartered Accountants said: “Ensors are looking forward to the exciting opportunities that the new Norwich branch will bring, alongside building on their growing networks in the Norwich area.”
