Historic Jefferson Railway for sale, owners retiring

JEFFERSON, Texas (KETK) – The Historic Jefferson Railway is up for sale after owners Francene and Diamond Don Rainey announced their retirement recently.

What stores, restaurants are open for Easter 2024?

“Francene and Diamond Don Rainey, owners of Historic Jefferson Railway have retired. We will no longer be running the train,” the Rainey’s website said.

They’re selling off their railway depot building, gas powered locomotive and train rolling stock. As a part of their retirement they’re no long promoting the many events they hold like the Diamond Don’s Annual AHRMA National Vintage Motocross race, Annual Vintage Ride Day, Halloween Express Train, Christmas Express Train or the Great Locomotive Train Chase and Civil War Battle.
