Hit-and-run leaves cyclist in hospital with head injury

A hit-and-run involving a Volkswagen has put a cyclist in hospital.

The cyclist was riding on the B1145 in Bawsey, near King's Lynn, when the crash happened at 11.10pm yesterday (April 24).

The incident was 400m west of Chilver House Lane and involved a red car, believed to be a VW Golf, which failed to stop and drove off.

Emergency services were called and took the cyclist to hospital with a head injury.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who has dashcam footage.
