Holly Willoughby Misses This Morning After Baby Chester Suffers A 'Nasty' Injury

This Morning fans were surprised to tune in this morning and find Phillip Schofield presenting alongside Ruth Langsford instead of his usual co-host Holly Willoughby.

Phillip explained to viewers that unfortunately Holly was forced to miss the episode as her baby son Chester had suffered a nasty injury after falling over yesterday.

Ahh - get well soon, Chester.

Speaking to the camera Phillip filled fans in on what was going on, sharing: “Ruth’s standing in today… Before we go any further he is alright.

"Chester, Holly’s youngest son, yesterday afternoon fell over and banged his head. He’s got a very nasty cut on his head.

"They dressed [the injury] overnight and today he needs to go back into hospital to get stitches so that’s where Holly is.

"He is absolutely fine, he was playing afterwards but it’s a nasty cut. She obviously wants to be with him today and it’s where she should be. We hope it goes well.”

We hope so too.

Holly also took to social media to reassure fans, sharing a photo of Chester in his hospital gown and writing: “Thank you for all the lovely kind messages… Chester is just fine and was definitely the bravest out of all of us…

"He received brilliant care from everyone at the #Chelseaandwestminster hospital, makes you realise again how lucky we are to have such a wonderful #nhs

"Also huge thanks to @ruthlangsford for coming to the rescue and @itvthismorning for being so understanding as always!!! Xxx”

35-year-old Holly and her husband Dan Baldwin welcomed Chester back in 2014, with the pair also being mum and dad to daughter Belle and son Harry.
