Holly Willoughby has teased that she will present This Morning hungover again after another heavy night at the National Television Awards.

Last year, Willoughby and her co-host Phillip Schofield presented the ITV morning show while still dressed in their NTA evening attire, claiming that they were suffering from a night of heavy drinking.

Opening today’s show, Willoughby joked that she’ll once again be in a hungover state tomorrow after tonight’s award ceremony.

“Do you remember what this feels like? Opening presenting a show in one-piece,” asked Schofield.

To which Willoughby replied: “Yeah, fast-forward 24 hours and it might not be the same situation.”

Willoughby also took to Instagram to share a picture of herself and Schofield hungover on the This Morning sofa last year, captioning it: “ “If I could remember this it would probably be one of my favourite tv moments ever.”

This Morning is nominated for Best Daytime Show, with Willoughby and Schofield respectively also nominated in the Best Presenter category.

Last year, after the NTAs, Willoughby and Schofield played a prank on their viewers as they pretended not to turn up for the show the following morning.

At the start of the show, a message appeared on the screen that read: “We are sorry for the disruption. Our presenters haven’t turned up. We’re working hard to fix the issue.”

The two presenters then jumped through a white screening holding their ninth National Television Award.

Willoughby thanked their viewers for voting before admitting that she’d had just two hours sleep.

“There was a lot of talking, singing and celebrating. I might read the auto-cue with one eye open,” she said.
