Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Peri Lomax has reciprocated Juliet Quinn's romantic kiss in Hollyoaks.

Juliet (Niamh Blackshaw) has been harbouring feelings for Peri (Ruby O'Donnell) for the last several months, having most recently become alarmed that Peri's boyfriend Jordan is two-timing her with mum Leela.

Although she has wanted to come clean with Peri about Jordan's betrayal, drug boss Victor Brothers (Benjamin O'Mahoney) threatened her to keep quiet or else.

In Wednesday's (September 16) first-look episode, Juliet and Sid (Billy Price) took over the guest list of unsuspecting friend Imran's (Ijaz Rana) house party to sell drugs for Victor.

However, Juliet was distracted when Peri arrived without Jordan, as he'd been trying to convince Leela to go on holiday without Peri's knowledge.

"You honestly look amazing. No-one could resist you tonight," Peri flattered her friend.

When the two later went outside for some fresh air, Peri quizzed Juliet on her love life now that she'd split with Sid for good.

"There is someone," Juliet confessed, before leaning in to kiss Peri.

The camera whizzed around the pair as they shared a magic moment, with Peri reciprocating and sharing a smile and laugh with Juliet after the kiss. What will this mean for the girls in the future?

Niamh Blackshaw recently hinted to Inside Soap that the future for Juliet and Peri might not have been as simple as the kiss made it seem.

"Juliet reads signals a bit differently from those Peri is giving off," Niamh said. "Juliet kind of sees what she wants to see, and hears what she wants to hear, and they kiss.

"She knows Peri's not in the same place as her, though – so you'll have to wait and see what happens next..."

There are definitely dark times ahead for Juliet next week, as she makes the big mistake of once again crossing drug boss Victor.

Hollyoaks airs Mondays through Thursdays at 7pm on E4, with replays airing the following evening at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
