Yahoo News Hollyoaks airs new twist in Luke's dark story
Hollyoaks' Luke Morgan may have just made a terrible mistake by breaking into the home of rapist Mark Gibbs.
Luke has become fixated on getting revenge against Mark for the ordeal he suffered in 2000 – and Tuesday's E4 first-look episode saw him finally take action.
The fan favourite, played by Gary Lucy, has taken on Mark's wife Jenna as a personal training client in an effort to find out more about their family life.
With Jenna completely unaware of Luke's identity, she left him furious by explaining how Mark was once jailed for GBH in a "miscarriage of justice".
Realising that Mark's happy family life is based on lies that he's been telling to Jenna, a disgusted Luke broke into the home of his attacker and trashed the place.
Although Luke managed to get away undetected when Jenna and Mark arrived home, he accidentally dropped Nancy Osborne's bank card that she'd lent to him earlier in the day.
Luke's destructive actions are sure to have consequences, and it's already been revealed that this week's episodes will see him come face-to-face with Mark for the first time in 17 years.
Luke will beg Mark to show some remorse for what he did all those years ago, but will he get the closure he needs?
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look screenings at 7pm on E4.
