Yahoo News Hollyoaks' Joel shows he's NOT over Cleo tonight
Hollyoaks priest Joel Dexter lets his jealousy show tonight (August 17) as Cleo McQueen prepares for a date with Brody Hudson.
Cleo met Brody (Adam Woodward) for the first time in yesterday's E4 episode – and even though they had a tense start, it wasn't long before the show's newest hunk managed to win her over.
Having already spotted the pair looking cosy, Joel (Rory Douglas-Speed) can't resist sticking his nose in tonight by confronting Brody over his intentions with Cleo.
When Cleo witnesses Joel's unwanted interference, she quickly warns him off and braces herself for her big date with Brody.
It's no secret that Cleo has some unresolved feelings for Joel, but will this be her chance to move on at last? Or will her date with Brody end in disaster because she's still too hung up on the local priest?
Nadine Mulkerrin, who plays Cleo, told this week's Inside Soap: "She's had a little kiss with Brody, but I'll be honest, I'm team Cleo and Joel.
"They've got such history, so I'm definitely rooting for them. I think the audience are all screaming 'Just get together!' as well."
With big scenes ahead next week when Cleo and Joel both get kidnapped by villain Shane Sweeney, Nadine added: "Now they're locked in a room and have to talk things over. When you're in a plight this bad, unexpected things can happen."
Hollyoaks airs Cleo and Brody's date tonight (August 17) at 7pm on E4 and tomorrow (August 18) at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
