Hollyoaks' Carley Stenson and Danny Mac share newborn child's name

Hollyoaks stars Carley Stenson and Danny Mac have welcomed a baby son – and revealed his name.

The couple announced earlier this year that they were expecting a second child, and have now shared the happy news that the newborn has arrived.

Posting a picture of themselves holding the baby in a carrier as they depart hospital, Carley wrote on Instagram: "Beauie Mac. Been in our LOVE bubble since 18/04/24. We adore you."

Danny reposted the photo on his Instagram Stories, writing: "Welcome to the world, son… well done Mummy. Thank you!"

The couple have since received congratulations, with Hollyoaks star Jessica Fox (Nancy Hayton) writing in the comments: "How wonderful! Congratulations."

Nikki Sanderson (Maxine Minniver) added: "Aww congratulations," while former Love Island host Laura Whitmore said: "Congrats guys! X."

Carley and Danny – who played Steph Cunningham and Mark Savage on the Channel 4 soap – previously welcomed daughter Skye in 2021.

Last year, Carley opened up about the struggles of being away from her daughter as she took part in Dancing on Ice in 2023.

"I feel awful when I'm not with her. Mum guilt is real – it's part of my DNA now," she told Hello!.

"I remember my first day back to work, when Skye had a rash. I got off the Tube and I could have gone left to work or right to go home, and I had to ring my mum and say, 'Please tell me what to do'. It was horrible.

"But I knew Skye was with my mother-in-law, who is a nurse, so she could not have been in better hands."

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.

Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
