Yahoo News Hollyoaks' Gary Lucy and Love Island's Laura Anderson expecting first child together
Laura Anderson revealed that she's expecting her first baby with Gary Lucy.
The Love Island star shared the sweet news on her Instagram, with a video montage of her pregnancy journey so far.
It included her showing off her growing belly, their ultrasound scan, and the Hollyoaks actor holding up a tiny vest to announce their little one will be born in August.
Laura also shared a clip of her popping a balloon to find out the sex of the baby, but in black and white to keep the news a secret.
"Our hearts are full. Baby Lucy due Summer '23," she captioned it.
Gary has since announced that he and Laura are no longer together. There had been rumours last month about whether the couple had split.
"I love Laura but we are no longer together," he's quoted as saying in The Sun. "My main drive as always is to work together to co-parent our child. I look forward to the arrival of the new baby."
Laura and Gary met last year while filming the E4 show Celebs Go Dating.
Laura, who split from singer Dane Bowers in August, previously spoke about their relationship, saying she'd grown up watching him on Footballers' Wives.
"My mum fancies him! And my friends are obsessed," she said late last year.
"One of them messaged me the other day and she's like, 'Can you believe we used to watch Footballers' Wives and you're now dating Gary Lucy, how does that feel?'
"And I'm like, 'Shut up!' I don't think about it like that. But then I was looking at him on a date and I was like, 'It's weird that I know your face. You're like a celebrity'. It's like you would recognise them anywhere because you've just seen them so much."
She continued: "I was like, 'It's weird that I already know your face so much just from seeing pictures over time or whatever'. I was like, 'This is weird'.
"I don't think he really knew anything about me. He said he knew I was on Love Island and that’s about it."
Gary is already a dad to four children from his marriage to Natasha Gray. They announced their split in 2018, following 14 years together.
