Yahoo News Hollyoaks kicks off Ollie Morgan's drugs storyline in first-look clip
Hollyoaks has offered the first look at Ollie Morgan's drugs storyline.
The Channel 4 soap first hinted at this dark path in its New Year's Eve flashforward episode, when it showed a distraught Ollie (Aedan Duckworth) with a bag of drugs to cap off 2020.
As the County Lines drug dealing storyline continues next week, Ollie will try to dull the pain over giving up his and Brooke Hathaway's (Talia Grant) baby for adoption by sneaking into The Loft with Sid Sumner (Billy Price).
Sid worries he'll get in trouble when Ollie gets drunk just as his cousin Jordan Price (Connor Calland) arrives with Peri Lomax (Ruby O'Donnell).
Jordan convinces Peri that Ollie having a few drinks isn't a big deal given what he's been through, then turns to his cousin.
"It's alright, if he only had one, like you said," Jordan insisted. "Right, you go back and get your beauty sleep. I'll look out for him."
Once he has Ollie all to himself, Jordan tries to make a new customer when he preys on the teen's vulnerabilities by selling him drugs.
Aedan Duckworth recently told Digital Spy that there will be a rough road for Ollie while struggling to cope with his son's adoption and his own dad Luke's terminal diagnosis.
"Ollie has done what quite a few people do when they go through a hard time," he explained. "He's turned to drugs, which is devastating, to say the least. It's upsetting to see, because he's such a nice lad and we know he's been through so much already.
"It's going to be a good storyline and we're going to tell it to the best of our ability. Hopefully the year after this one will be when Ollie sorts himself out!"
Hollyoaks airs Mondays through Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing on E4 at 7pm.
