Hollyoaks' Rayne Royce to make disturbing move before Juliet's funeral

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Rayne Royce is set to make a shocking move before Juliet Nightingale's funeral in Hollyoaks.

Viewers have seen Rayne's dark side manifesting in the wake of Juliet's death, as she's grown increasingly jealous of boyfriend Romeo's closeness with Juliet's partner Peri Lomax.

This culminated in Romeo kissing Peri during a fraught moment and Rayne later finding out about it thanks to an incriminating text message.

In upcoming scenes, a series of dark twists culminate in Romeo missing his own sister's funeral, thanks in part to Rayne. The drama starts when Rayne finds Romeo and Peri having fallen asleep on the couch together during funeral planning.

As Rayne stews, Lacey encourages her to tone down her social media posts about Juliet since they all prominently feature pictures of the influencer.

Rayne reveals to Lacey that she's feeling triggered by having to see Romeo plan his sister's funeral, given her own recent experience with ex-boyfriend Brent's death.

Romeo is later frustrated to find out that James has decided Juliet will have a traditional funeral, as opposed to the celebration of life that Juliet wanted.

Donna-Marie reaches a breaking point over James and Romeo's disagreements, thus forcing Romeo to agree to James's funeral plans against his better judgment. Peri is less willing to compromise and decides she'll wear a colourful outfit Juliet would have approved of.

Later, the Nightingales all find out about Rayne's insensitive social media posts, leading to a confrontation with Rayne where Romeo shares his disappointment.

With Rayne still refusing to take down the posts, the family gathers to go to the funeral. James and Peri clash over funeral plans, and Peri eventually refuses to attend the funeral.

Romeo chases after Peri to encourage her to put her anger with James aside and say her goodbyes to Juliet at the funeral, but when the funeral service gets underway, Romeo is nowhere to be found.

After everyone tries to get ahold of Romeo, they finally decide to begin the service without him. Peri continues to worry the service isn't what Juliet would have wanted until a happy accident takes place with the bagpipes.

Following the emotional events of the past few days, Lacey will question her best mate Rayne about the real reason Romeo missed the funeral. Will Rayne come clean?
